Nordsee, Nordfriesland, Nordstrand, Pohnshalligkoog - airwatch.de | Der Pohnshalligkoog umfasst eine Fläche von etwa 695 Hektar und ist der östlichste und zweitgrößte Koog der Halbinsel Nordstrand. Die Eindeichung des Pohnshalligkoogs war 1924 abgeschlossen. Trotz der Schwierigkeiten bei der Errichtung des Deiches und des verschlammten Bodens konnten die ersten Pächter 1924 den Koog übernehmen. Fünf Jahre nach der Eindeichung wurden die Pachtverträge jedoch aufgelöst und das gesamte Land der “Gemeinnützigen Siedlungsgesellschaft Deutscher Osten” übergeben.
